Part of AKG's Project Studio microphone series, the P420 is a multi-pattern condenser microphone with dual 1" diaphragms. The P420 features an all-metal body and solid construction, meaning that this microphone can handle whatever may be thrown at it and still deliver warm and accurate sound for any source you may be recording. The P420 features three physical switches, one on the front and two on the back side. The front switch is for switching between the three available polar patterns for this microphone, cardioid, figure-8 and omnidirectional. The two rear switches are for the -20 dB attenuation pad which allows for a max. SPL of 155 dB, and a 12dB/octave high-pass filter at 300 Hz for controlling low frequencies. An aluminum carrying case and a spider-style shock mount that can mount to any standard microphone stand are included with the P420. |
